I chose a range of blue, emerald and purple swells as a direct reference to water. It seems to me that the woman and her energies are very close to the energy of water.
Я выбрала гамму из синих, изумрудных и фиолетовых оттеков как прямую отсылку к воде. Мне кажется, женщина и её энергии очень близки к энергии воды.

A woman is like "living water". It is creative in its essence - flexible and purposeful seeps even through the armor of rage, hatred and resentment, into the most inaccessible places.
Женщина подобна «живой воде». Она созидательна по своей сути - гибкая и целеустремлённая просачивается даже сквозь броню ярости, ненависти и обиды, в самые труднодоступные места.

I wanted to create a sense of flow, so I put the illustrations on the fold of the pages, and also let a thread through each of them, like crumbs leading us from image to image. I also used a stencil for faces and some details of illustrations to create a rough texture.
Мне хотелось создать чувство потока, поэтому я помещала иллюстрации на сгибе страниц, а также пустила нить сквозь каждудую их них, будто крохи ведущие нас от образа к образу. Также я использовала трафарет для лиц и некоторых деталей иллюстраций, чтобы создать шероховатую фактуру.

All these images are only parts of the ancient many-sided feminine power and wisdom that sleeps in each of us. The book is based on a short poem about it. The main part of the poem is placed on the back of the illustrations. Only the start and end lines are embedded in the first and last spread, and a river of symbols flows between them.
Все эти образы - лишь части древней многоликой женской силы и мудрости, которая спит в каждой из нас. В основе книги лежит небольшое стихотворение об этом. Главная часть стихотворения помещено на обратной стороне иллюстраций. Лишь начальные и конечные строки встроены в первый и последний разворот, а между ними течёт река символов.

This book was born spontaneously and was also embodied. I drew it without hesitation, so it is valuable to me.
